My journey began in the small town of Gießen, Germany, where I took an academic deep dive into the world of Medieval and Early Modern History, German Linguistics, and Political Science. While I was all about digging into dusty old documents and mountains of books, it was language that truly fascinated me—the way words can shape understanding, build connections, and tell stories that transcend time. Between my Erasmus semester in Bordeaux, France, and research trips to archives in Spain, Belgium, and the Netherlands, I found myself falling head over heels not just for history, but for the magical power of language to bridge cultures and eras.
That love of language eventually pulled me into the exciting world of communication and marketing, where I could craft messages that spoke directly to the present moment. After wrapping up my studies, I threw myself into media analysis, monitoring, PR, and journalism—basically, I spent my time making sense of the world and translating it into digestible bits. But let’s face it, the 9-to-5 grind wasn’t for me. I craved flexibility, freedom, and the chance to explore my passions on my own terms. So, I took the plunge into freelancing.
Since then, I’ve worked with a colorful mix of clients—startups, solo entrepreneurs, global enterprises, and agencies—on all sorts of projects. From blog articles about language learning to website copy about sustainable toilets (yes, really) and even translating articles about pest control, I’ve done it all. These experiences sharpened my skills, but ultimately, I found my sweet spot in two areas that set my heart on fire: sustainability and tech.
Tech has been a constant in my life since I was 10, when I got my first computer and fell into a rabbit hole of digital exploration. By university, I was the unofficial IT wizard in the student center—fixing computers, solving tech mysteries, and making sure everything ran smoothly. Fast forward to today, and I’m lucky enough to partner with SaaS giants like Slack, Adobe, and Google—turning confusing tech jargon into content that’s not only clear and engaging, but also kind of fun to read (I promise!).
Sustainability, though, isn’t just my job—it’s how I live. Whether I’m volunteering with NABU (a major nature conservation organization), planting wildflowers, or proudly tending to my award-winning bee-friendly balcony, I’m all about protecting the planet. It’s not just about writing for sustainable brands; it’s about living and breathing those values. I work with companies that care about the environment as much as I do, helping them tell their stories authentically and connect with eco-conscious audiences.
When I’m not typing away, you’ll find me in my 2.4 m² jungle of a balcony, hiking through nature, or getting lost in a good book—sometimes all in one weekend. (Did I mention I’m a sucker for multitasking?)
